Yoga promotes greater concentration, strength, balance, flexibility and relaxation.
Beginners and experienced practitioners of all ages are welcome. Props such as blocks, straps, blankets and bolsters are used to modify the poses to keep the spine in better alignment. Classes are kept small in order to provide more individualized attention.
This is a combination of Iyengar and Sivananda yoga which were developed by BKS Iyengar and Swami Sivananda, two popular teachers in India. The focus of Iyengar yoga is on proper alignment using props to keep the body injury free, and Sivananda yoga teaches proper breathing and specific postures to develop internal strength and balance.
